Everyone gets a seat.
Economic Roundtable Associates wants every visitor to be able to read, navigate, and contact us without barriers. This site targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and exceeds it where we can.
Contrast beyond the requirement
All reading text on this site is built to WCAG's stricter AAA contrast level (at least 7:1), not just the AA minimum. Small labels meet or exceed AA.
Readable type
No visible text renders below 12 pixels, and all sizing uses relative units, so browser zoom and system font-size settings work as expected up to and beyond 200%.
Keyboard access
Every interactive element is a real link or button, reachable and operable by keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator. A skip link lets keyboard users jump straight to the page content.
Motion respect
All animation on this site honors the "reduce motion" preference in your operating system. With it enabled, moving elements render as calm, static equivalents.
Structure and semantics
Pages use semantic HTML: proper landmarks, ordered heading levels, labeled form fields, and alt text on meaningful images. Purely decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
Continuous verification
These aren't aspirations. An automated test suite checks contrast, text size, and layout integrity across five screen sizes on every significant change, and the site must pass before it ships. The rest, keyboard operability, motion fallbacks, alt text, and heading order, we verify by hand in review.
Known limitations
The animated network graphic on the home page and the generated article cover art are decorative and hidden from screen readers; they carry no information that isn't also in the text.
